Description

Located near Pinehurst, Weymouth Woods Sandhills Nature Preserve—Boyd Tract is located behind the Weymouth Center for the Arts & Humanities also known as the historic James Boyd House. The oldest known living longleaf pine can be found at the Boyd Tract Access. Flora and fauna include: wiregrass, longleaf pines, Sandhills pixie-moss, insectivorous purple pitcher plants, red-cockaded woodpeckers, pileated woodpeckers, and pine snakes. From the parking lot facing the house, follow the right edge of the lot until it turns into the trail entrance with park sign.
