Morrow Mountain State Park is a part of the Uwharrie Mountains, one of the oldest mountain ranges in the eastern United States.

Morrow Mountain State Park has over 54 miles of hiking trails, horseback riding (33 miles) paddling, a swimming pool, fishing, picnicking, birdwatching, and camping.
Geography
Morrow Mountain is a part of the Uwharrie Mountains in central North Carolina. The Uwharries are one of the oldest mountain ranges in the eastern United States. They once stood around 20,000 feet above sea level but have now eroded to under 1,000 feet.

Fees and Passes
There are no fees required to access Morrow Mountain State Park for day use.
There are fees for swim passes at the swimming pool. Swimming is prohibited at the lake.
Fees are also charged for boat rentals, camping, certain event permits, and facility reservations.
